In the film "Rear Window" panning was used numerously and it is a very effective way to help support the audiences understand the movie a little bit more. The film is about a photographer who is forced in his home due to an accident that immobilizes him causes him to analyze his neighbors and what they're up to. One day he notices that one of his neighbors is missing and comes up with the idea that her husband is the reason why she is missing and that he may have murderd her.The film uses many techniques to really bring out the suspense and the tension in the movie.
